Leading a culture of excellence

Improvement in the teaching of mathematics and numeracy is a gradual process that ideally is school based involving all (willing) teachers working collaboratively.

The goals of the module include that participating leaders will:

  • Articulate, and enable others to articulate, their aspirations for mathematics teaching;
  • Examine some general principles guiding working with teachers on improvement;
  • Discuss and evaluate some specific suggestions of improvement initiatives; and
  • Consider¬†the implications for their own leadership practice.
